The project, located in the Belgian city of Wavre, will involve the creation of 2 family dwellings, on a plot of land bound by two neighbouring roads.
Currently home to an existing house and a substantial single storey garage, the scheme involves the extensive refurbishment of the existing house, and demolition of the garage, prior to it’s replacement with a second home.
With both homes sharing an enclosed rear garden, the project aims to introduce a landscape build from reclaimed elements from both existing buildings, in an attempt to tie the two volumes together with a communal space that avoids the need for hard boundaries.
The project is currently under construction and due for completion in early 2021.
