Woodworkers Studio

The proposal for a Devon based furniture maker’s studio and workshop was intended as a self build project that could evolve over time and reflect the particular material resources available at the time. Lined with standard sheet materials used to clad a ‘patchwork’ of timber offcuts that formed a structural frame, the studio featured walls of fold down edges for use as workbenches and storage when required. The exception to this was a large open aperture that was to offer views over the neighbouring countryside and to allow for the delivery of materials.
